Eclipse rebuilds Shadow Fight 2 Special Edition 2.0.0 in a modern engine. It runs on Windows, Linux and Android, and it plays offline.
Add weapons, fighters, bosses, maps, visual effects and new rules with Lua. On Windows and Android you install a mod ZIP right from the title screen.
Online and local versus are being developed and tested. They aren't in a public release yet.
The game updates itself. It downloads only what changed and keeps your previous version, so you can always go back.
local sf2 = require("sf2")
sf2.items.register_weapon {
id = "training_blade",
display_name = sf2.localization.key("weapon.training_blade"),
icon = sf2.assets.sprite("sprites/weapon"),
model = sf2.assets.model("core:gamedata/models/mdl_weapon_katana_ritual"),
subtype = "Katana",
shop = { level = 1, price = sf2.price.coins(1) },
}
sf2.log.info("Training Blade registered")
This complete mod script adds a katana to the shop at level 1 for one coin. You need a text editor and the game: no Unity, no Lua install. Make it yourself in the first-weapon guide.
Unzip to a folder you can write to, then run Eclipse.exe.
Extract the archive, then run ./eclipse.
Install the APK, and allow your browser to install apps when asked.
A mod engine for Shadow Fight 2, like Forge is for Minecraft. Eclipse is a platform for mods rather than one big hardcoded mod.
Eclipse is the engine. Definitive Edition 128 is a mod built on it, planned to ship as the default mod in the first stable release.
Not yet. There is no public release or release date, and there are no playtests before release. Don't download “Project Eclipse” builds from anyone else: when it's out, it will be on this site.
Yes. Eclipse costs nothing. If anyone asks you to pay for it, it didn't come from us.
No. Eclipse is a complete game on its own and doesn't need or touch an existing Shadow Fight 2 install.
Not necessarily. The modding wiki starts with simple mods you can copy and change, and works up from there.
Eclipse isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen warns about it like any new download. Choose More info, then Run anyway. Only download Eclipse from this site.
Yes. Your saves are stored apart from the game files, so updates and rollbacks never touch them.
In the Discord, in the eclipse-bugs and eclipse-suggestions forums.
No. Eclipse is a fan project and isn't affiliated with Nekki, the makers of Shadow Fight 2.
